Jodie Wiggins is a charismatic Soprano born in Norfolk, England. She loves to communicate with her audiences and push the boundaries of the Performing Arts. From a young age, she was surrounded by music and fortunate to discover a passion for performing early on. Throughout her schooling years, she pursued singing, dance, and acting alongside her academic studies, whilst holding a music scholarship throughout. All this fuelled her ambition to build a career in the arts.
Classically trained, she is currently following the operatic pathway - though, she is a versatile singer with a broad experience singing across multiple genres. In addition to her classical background, she actively performs in a range of styles and feels a strong connection to contemporary and innovative art forms. She hopes to continue exploring this passion for contemporary classical performance, with a long-term goal of helping to commission new operas that embrace a modern performance approach and contemporary lens.
Jodie is in her final year of her BMus Vocal Studies degree at Trinity Laban, under the tutelage of Patricia Rozario OBE FRCM – Professor of singing at Trinity Laban and Royal College of Music, and Helen Yorke – Coach and head of Chamber music at Trinity Laban. Her time at Trinity has nourished her creative impulses and she has been able to grow as an artist under their institution. She is thrilled to be continuing her training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland this September for her Master's Degree with esteemed teacher Elizabeth McCormack, supported by the ‘Postgraduate Awards’ Scholarship from Help Musicians UK.
Recent roles: In 2025, Jodie will perform the role of Melanto in Monteverdi’s ‘Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria’ as part of Trinity Laban’s Summer Opera. During the 2024–25 season, she played Zerlina in a cinematic film project of Don Giovanni, performed a principal role in the new Urban Opera ‘Our Street’ commissioned by ‘Music and Theatre For All’ and directed by Thomas Guthrie, and was a soprano chorus member in Trinity Laban's previous Summer production of Errollyn Wallen’s contemporary Opera 'Dido’s Ghost'. Between 2022 and 2024, she sang various chorus roles in Trinity Laban’s Postgraduate Opera Scenes, including The Snow Maiden, La Bohème, and Les Contes d’Hoffmann. She also portrayed Susanna in scenes from Mozart’s ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ in 2023.

Recent Musical Achievements: She performed in a Masterclass with esteemed Ailish Tynan focusing on her English Art Song (2025) and was a finalist in the 2024 Elizabeth Schumann German Lieder Competition held at Blackheath Halls. Her oratorio work consists of soprano soloist in a rendition of Handel’s Messiah (Southampton) with orchestra, as well as in Haydn’s 'Missa Sancti Nicolai' and Handel’s 'Foundling Hospital Anthem' with the Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society, back in Norfolk. She also gave a rendition of Pergolesi’s ‘Stabat Mater’ with the Norfolk Chamber Ensemble and Soprano Zaira Palumbo, Trinity alumni. She regularly performs with the Old Royal Naval College Chapel Choir as a paid deputy chorister (2022–25). With her collaborative work, she is a founding member of the Thalia Trio (soprano, mezzo-Miro Treharne, piano- Yuri Inoshita), with recent performances at Blackheath Recital Halls, St Alfege Church, St George’s Beckenham, and the Old Royal Naval College Chapel. The Trio explores the theatrics of lesser-known repertoire with a specific focus on living composers and female composer compositions. In 2023, she sung at ‘Greenpeace UK’s Protect the Oceans Luncheon’ in Wiltshire, attended by the head of Greenpeace UK, and performed in ‘Solace in Chaos’, a South Kensington charity concert supporting victims of the war in Ukraine — both events in partnership with Red Events.
